Discipleship Youth Ministries is a registered, incorporated charitable organization with it's primary emphasis on mission and evangelism. The ministry looks for the good in all people, focusing on the gifts, talents and abilities God gave them to benefit His kingdom; and in pursuing that goal victory is provided in Jesus's name. Harry Middlebrook is president of Discipleship Youth Ministries and has been in the youth ministry since 1974 when he left Washington D.C. where he was a Congressional Aide after college. He has filled the role of Youth Director, Camp Director and PR Director for the Church of God of Prophecy for eleven years in Mississippi, Illinois and the country of Greece. He has been a Certified Missionary Teacher/Trainer in Evangelism Explosion since 1979 and served as U.S. Chairman of Christian Camp International in 1979.
Something very traumatic happened to Harry in 1983. He was in a serious automobile accident and was in a coma for 6 1/2 months. Then he was given a prognosis of death five times and was told that if he continued to live, he would never walk or talk and would be blind in one eye. God had other plans for Harry and gave him a message for His people.
Although initially, Harry suffered from total amnesia, scriptures as well as the worship chorus "He is Lord" remained in his memory. Being with the Lord, Harry returned and today gives his testimony sharing that salvation is the greatest miracle.
His weekly radio program on Spirit 106, 105.9 on the dial, hosts intriguing guests and serves to establish young peoples' relationships with the Lord. Proverbs 24.3
DYM: M/E will send mission teams to major cities in America, and foreign mission teams to Europe, where Harry lived from 1980-1983. He returned to European mission trips in 1990 and 1993 as the Lord directed him.
